After speaking with our database provider (MongoDB), we now have full clarity of the issue. The issue appeared due to our server still using stale DNS cache entries, which were not used by MongoDB anymore. This happened in combination with a misconfigured server health endpoint, which we use to check if our server is reachable and the database connection established.

We have learned from this and improved the system accordingly.

This incident has been resolved.

For about 2 hours, we had issues connecting to our main database (MongoDB).
While the issue is now resolved, we are still investigating with MongoDB what caused the outage and how to make sure it doesn't happen again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Major outage is now resolved and Airtable is working normally again.

Airtable is partially unavailable due to an underlying service outage. Therefore, document generation from Airtable is impacted right now and currently we are not seeing any document creation requests from Airtable users.
